Best used as: The traveller’s best friend. If you have the time and you don’t fear being questioned for stalking, check out some people in airports or on your flights. These things are everywhere, and for good reason.
Awesome because: They don’t give out Tech Grammys for nothing. This is quality at its very best. If you’ve heard of Mercedes’ buddies Harman, then you know what to expect. The best sound by a mile compared to anything else on this list. They’re very compact (occupying less space than the also foldable Beats Solo or Bose QC-2) and comfortable, while also sporting a great build, despite the plastic. The design is simple and great. None of Skullcandy’s over the top flash and none of Monster’s glossy uselessness. Easy on the eyes and beautiful.
Not so awesome because: Well, they truly are awesome. Few things can be said here. Again, the bass has to take one for the team, even though it’s well above competitors from the same size category. Also, other compact models (most notably the Solo Beats) have slightly bigger ear cups for better comfort. But these are minor details when you consider the rest.
